The Mirage TourPutt putting green surface was selected by the Ping Golf Corporation for their corporate testing facility located in Tempe Arizona. Ping Golf is one of the world's leading golf club makers, specializing in putters. They selected the Mirage TourPutt because of its realism and true roll as it compares to real PGA Tour Greens. Ping Corporate representatives have informed us, "It's the closest artificial putting turf that they have ever seen that represents real bent grass putting greens. In the past, we tested and have purchased artificial putting turf from several other turf manufactures, but the Mirage TourPutt is far our best decision."
The synthetic fibers used in this system are what make it so unique. The interlocking, spring-like, high-density, curled fiber design naturally simulates a real bent-grass green. The turf is supported by a special outdoor waterproof rubber backing that gives the surface a more natural feel.
The highly treated UV, multi-color design is the only one of its kind and allows for a more durable surface. These greens can withstand intense sunlight, cold, wind, rain, snow or ice and will hold up with daily outdoor exposure. They have been installed in all types of climates from the cold, freezing climates of Canada to the hot, arid deserts of the American West, to the rainy, humid areas of Hawaii and Florida.
